Kayaking

Back on July 18th, Jason and I went with our friends Chris and Krissy for a fun kayak ride down the river. We borrowed some single seat kayaks, drove to Knights Ferry, unloaded and jumped in the water and headed down the river to Chris and Krissy's house. We had a great time with our friends. We always love hanging out with the Fallentines. They are so much fun! The day was very hot, but the river was nice and cold so it felt good to jump in. It was quite the workout too. The river was pretty low and not flowing too fast so we had to work really hard at paddling to make our way. But I didn't mind. The scenery was beautiful and we even did some cliff jumping along the way. I think it took us about 4 to 5 hours to make our way to their home. Poor Jason was hurting pretty badly towards the end. He got a major sunburn on his chest and stomach and legs. Supposedly he used sunscreen, but I guess he didn't apply it very well. Sorry I don't have any pictures along the river. I didn't want to risk tipping over with my camera in my kayak. We had waterproof cameras, but I don't have any of those pictures yet.
