1st Grade

I can't believe that Afton is in first grade already. It just seems so crazy that I have a six year old. He first day of school was on August 11th. I know that sounds really early because it is. They start school really early here. Right in the middle of the heat. It's great! Afton was so excited for school that she couldn't even finish her breakfast. She's a two bowls of cereal girl and could barely finish one. Afton just loves school and being with her friends and playing on the playground, so she couldn't wait to go back to school. Her teacher this year is Mrs. Jones. We actually met her at the end of school last school year. We kind of got a hint from her Kindergarten teacher that Mrs. Jones would be her first grade teacher, so we stopped by her classroom and met her. After talking with her, Afton was so excited and said that she hoped she was in Mrs. Jones class.
