Afton's friend, Emma, invited her to a swim party for the beginning of summer. It was on Friday, June 13th. She also invited Dax and Logan so we all went to the party. They had lots of fun. They ate lunch, swam in her pool, played beach baseball, went on the slip-n-slide, played on the swing set, and made a huge mess with fudge sickles. My kids are so funny about swimming. Afton does ok, but she still doesn't like to put her head under water. She does great in the pool with a lifevest or floaties on, but without them she's straight onto the steps. I think she's just getting use to it again or so I hope. And Dax is not a fan of the water either unless someone else is holding him in the pool. I tried to get in the pool with Logan, but the water was freezing cold so he didn't like that too much. I don't know what to do about my kids and the water. I know with some people it just takes time and it's not like we have a swimming pool in our backyard. They actually start swim lessons tonight. We'll see how that goes. As for now does anyone have any advice to help me get my kids not to be afraid of the water?
