T-ball Closing Ceremony

Now Afton is officially done with t-ball. On Thursday, the 29th of May, they had a closing ceremony for the t-ball teams. All of the teams met at the field where they played and each team was introduced by the coaches, they said some thank yous and then called each player by name and they ran from third base to home plate. Then they presented them with a trophy. So it was a little like their opening ceremony, they just got a trophy this time. And Afton was so excited to get her trophy. All of the kids were so excited to get their trophies. We also presented a little thank you for her coaches. The parents all went in together on some gift certificates for the coaches and then Afton and I made a cute candy-bar poem from all of the kids. The kids signed their names on the poster. It turned out really cute! And we had lots of fun making it. The candy bars got a little soft, but it all survived. Although I had a lot of little kids eyeing the candy.
