I went to Prom..... again and this time with my husband. Our ward had a valentine's activity on Friday the 13th for all the adults and we decided to do a Prom Night theme. Yes, I'm still on the activities committee and I thought it would be fun to do the whole prom thing. Well, not exactly like the real prom but I thought it would be fun to encourage people to come dressed up and play some fun games, show an awesome slide show of past photos and then do some dancing. We had originally planned to do it at someone's house in our ward, but that fell through, so we had it at the church and I think it worked out a lot better there. We were able to set up tables and chairs and make a fun balloon arch for the dance floor. The decorations turned out so awesome. I had a really creative girl in the ward help with the decor and she did a fabulous job. We even had a corner set up as a photo area so we could all get photos with our loved one. The night went really well. We started off with the fun slide show and then had a speaker talk to us about keeping our marriage alive and learning to communicate with one another. Then we played a Newlywed/Oldywed game. We had five couples participate and it was hilarious. I love that game! Afterwards, we were suppose to have a couple teach us how to waltz, but they weren't able to make it so we started off doing the hokey pokey and then opened it up to dancing. The "Prom" turned out to be lots of fun. I had a great time and it was fun to be able to do something like that with my husband.
These were the photos we used in the slide show. We just used our senior pictures and one of our engagement pictures.

If you're wondering about my dress, it's not mine. I borrowed it from someone in my ward. She has a whole closet full of prom/homecoming dresses that her daughters wore. And they were great because they were all modest! In the picture above, the red, purple, and pink dresses also came from her closet. She had some amazing prom dresses and it was really cool that she let us borrow them.

I think Jason should grow his hair out again.
Cute pictures. I don't think I have to do it again with my hubby since we already did two. But it looks like fun.
