I can't believe that my little guy is 6 years old today! It's so crazy how fast they grow up. I just want to stop time so they stay little forever. Dax started off his birthday by getting up early and opening all of his presents and then having his birthday donut. Later that day we picked up his friend Chase and went to John's Incredible Pizza for some yummy food and games. That was our first time there and the kids loved it. Dax was a super sweet brother and told Afton that she could invite someone to his party so she invited Chase's sister, Halle. We headed back to our house for more fun and brownies and ice cream and a sleepover. As I'm typing this all the kids are still awake at 11 o'clock and they don't seem tired at all.
The birthday boy opening his presents.

He got a Tony Hawk skateboard and was totally stoked about it.

At John's Incredible Pizza. Chase, Dax, Afton, Halle, and Logan.

The older kids got to do the bumper cars and loved it.
Had to do a silly face pose.

Logan riding the roller coaster. He was really nervous at first but loved it.

Just before we left. They all got to pick out a few prizes with the tickets we won.

Dax and Chase. Aren't these boys so handsome?

Getting ready for the sleepover.

Just a few fun facts about Dax right now:
1. He is in a lego phase right now and loves them.
2. He still loves the Jazz and plays basketball in our house pretty much everyday.
3. He actually has another favorite team in the NBA right now. It's the celtics!
4. He is really good at teasing his little brother.
5. He loves kindergarten and his favorite thing about school right now is coloring and playing with his friends. He is super good at coloring and also really good at math. He's gotten really good with numbers by watching basketball games and keeping track of the scores.
6. In addition to basketball, he loves football...watching it, playing it and talking about it. He's gotten a few new footballs and plays catch with himself in our living room. Jason thinks it's hilarious because he use to do the exact same thing. Dax is like a sports announcer and player at the same time. He shouts out unbelievable plays and then he does them. He also does this when he plays basketball.
7. He still asks his mommy to sleep with him for a little bit before he falls asleep.
8. This one isn't so much fun, but something to remember. He has night terrors and wakes up every few nights having a bad dream. I guess he's not really awake but it seems like it. He cries and says things for a few minutes and then goes back to sleep. When he first started doing this it scared us but now we've gotten use to it.
9. His favorite food right now is tacos. He could eat like 3 of them.
10. We signed him up for basketball this year and his dad is his coach. He can't wait to play!
