Our Utah Trip - Week 1 (May 27th - June 4th)

We left for Utah on the 26th of May, right after the kids got out of school. Didn't get in til like 1 in the morning so we were pretty tired the next day.

The first outing of our Utah trip. We went to Brick Oven for Rex's 60th b-day.

On the 28th of May, we went to the Cattle Branding that Jason's family does every Memorial Day weekend. We stopped at the cabin for some fun first. The kids got to experience their first time shooting a gun. Afton and Dax each had a turn to shoot a 22 rifle. And Afton actually hit the target. They also got to ride around on the 4-wheelers for a little while. then we headed to the branding.

Something new I learned about Jason. He's left eye dominant (which I knew), but he shoots left handed when he's right handed. So weird!

There were some horses there and Afton and Dax got to ride on one. His name was Mr. Magoo.

Jason and I went away for a couple of days for our 10th anniversary. We went to Midway to the Homestead, then to Park City to the outlets and then to Salt Lake. Then I had to take him to the airport and send him back home to a very lonely house.

Didn't know I had this awesome pic til I downloaded them on my computer. My crazy little sister must have found my camera sitting on the table so decided to take some lovely pictures of herself. Now I get to share them with all of you.

My awesome mother-in-law got us some passes to Seven Peaks so we spent many days there on our trip. This was our first time there. A little chilly but the kids had a great time.

Abby, my niece, was baptized on the 4th of June. The kids and I were able to attend her baptism and it was really special. Afton gave the closing prayer and did a wonderful job.
