our "Wicked" weekend

Jason's family came into town on April 9th. And since we had some free babysitters Jason thought we needed to take advantage of it. Well in advance he asked his parents if they could watch the kids for a night and they gladly accepted. I have the greatest in-laws. Thanks so much for watching the kids. So Jason had been planning this night away for a month or so now and hadn't told me anything about it. It was a surprise and I love surprises so I was very excited. Although I thought I knew what we were doing. He supposedly told me like a week ago, but it was only to throw me off so I wouldn't have any idea what we were really doing. We started off the day by going to the Temple, which was really great and then Jason told me we weren't going where he had told me we were going. Instead, we were headed to San Francisco to do something really fun. And I immediately knew what we were doing. I had thought that was what we might be doing and then he threw me off with that little white lie. And then to find out it's what we were really doing I was so excited. We went to see WICKED !

I have been wanting to see this show forever and it finally came to San Fransisco so we were able to go. We stayed right across the street so we were able to walk there. It was great! Before the show we walked down to Union Square and ate at a little Thai place called Bangkok Restaurant. I've never had Thai before and I really wanted to try it and I'm glad we did because it was very good.
Jason and I eating our very delicious Thai dinner. I don't remember what Jason got but it was really good. Something with noodles and eggs and peppers.

After dinner we went to see Wicked. There were so many people there and I was so excited to watch the show. It was Amazing!! I couldn't believe how good it was. It was funny, emotional, breathtaking and the music was awesome. Jason even liked it and that shows how good it was. He's definitely not a Broadway guy. The actors were all so good and they had the most amazing voices. It really was an amazing show and I'm up for going to it again so if any of you ladies want to go see it let's plan a day and go. I'm so happy that Jason planned this special night for us. It was so much fun and a nice little get away even though it was only for a night. Thanks Babe for the surprise. It was AwESome!!
Before we went into the theater I wanted to get a picture out front. The show was playing at the Orpheum and it was a really cool theater.
The next morning we went back over to the theater to snap a few more pictures. I actually wanted one of the entire poster. The picture above we had some lady take for us after the show and she cut out half the Wicked poster. So I made my cheesy husband stand in front of it for another picture.
