Spring Party

Afton's class had a little Spring party and I was able to go help out in her class. My great friend, Amber, took the boys for me so I was very lucky to be able to go. I actually went an hour early to do some art corps stuff. We're finally done with all of the lessons and now we're in the process of matting the artwork. We went through each kid's portfolio, picked out their best artwork, selected color paper to mat behind it and now we just have to mat them. They are going to look so great! I can't wait to see all of them matted. I'll definitely be taking lots of pictures at the art show. Anyway, for Afton's party, they got to decorate cookies, make cute bunny baskets and then they went on a little Easter egg hunt. It was lots of fun to see the kids race to get their eggs and to be their with Afton. Thanks again Amber for watching the boys.

Not that I don't think this is great, I'm all for diversity but is Afton the minority in her class?

That's so funny that you say that because I was looking at the picture and wondering if anyone else noticed that. And yes she is the minority in her class. I think there are 7 other white kids in her class and the rest are hispanic.
