On Friday, the 2nd of May, Jason and I and Logan went to the Oakland Temple. Every first Monday of the month our stake does a stake temple night. So we decided to go to one since we haven't been to the temple in forever. It's a long trip for us here. It's a total of 3 hours or so driving time and then 2 hours at the temple and then we usually stop for dinner. I think we left around 5 p.m. and got home at midnight. And we had to get a babysitter, so it's not only a long trip but an expensive one when you add on dinner and gas too! But I'm not complaining. The blessings that come from going to the Temple are much greater than the expense. I guess that's what you get when you live outside of Utah. But we had a great time! Jason and I took turns doing initiatory work since we weren't able to do a session because we had Logan with us. While Jason was in the Temple, Logan and I walked around the temple grounds taking lots of pictures.
Logan is not a big grass lover. As soon as I set him down his feet instantly went in the air and he started pulling funny faces (top left picture). But he got use to it after a little while.
