On May 6th and 7th, Afton's school had it's annual art show. This is where they display each child's art from the Art Corp's lessons throughout the year. We, the volunteers, go through each child's portfolio and pick out their best piece of art. So another mom and I did this for Afton's class and then I was able to go through with her class as they looked at the art. The art show is set up in the school's cafeteria and displayed on these huge black folding boards. It's really neat and the kids had a great time walking through and seeing their own pieces of artwork. The next day, we went as a family to the art show which lasted for about 5 minutes with the boys. They almost knocked over one of the boards.

Afton pointing to her lovely piece of art. It's the top one.
Here is a closer shot of her art work. This was the last lesson called "Raggedy Ann and Andy". it was the lesson on composition which portrayed all of the lessons throughout the year. I loved this picture because of the big black eyes and the detail on their clothes. She drew hearts on Raggedy Ann's shirt and actually drew a dinosaur on Andy's shirt. It turned out really cute.
