Ward Talent Show

We had our annual ward talent show again and it was really nice this year because I wasn't in charge. Wha-hooo! It's so much more stressful when you're in charge. The talent show was back on the 8th of May and all of our kids shared a talent. I can't believe how brave they are just to get up on stage and perform in front of everyone. I guess it's a little different when you're a kid. Afton decided to sing this year. She sang "O Beautiful" and did an awesome job. I have some video of it that I'll post later. It was a song that they had been practicing in school so she was well prepared for it. The boys played basketball of course. We just set up their little hoops on stage and let them shoot some baskets. The audience loved it and the boys loved having people cheer for them. Daxon showed off his awesome slam dunks and Logan would shoot the ball and then turn and smile at the audience. It was so cute! After the basketball talent, I had Logan share some animal sounds that he's learned. And he was throwing the biggest fit because he still wanted to play basketball. He was crying and trying to get away from me and I kept asking him what a kitty says and he just wanted to get away and then he just leaned over to the microphone and said "Meow". It was so so so funny! Everyone started laughing and so from then on Logan had no problem saying his animal sounds into the microphone.

Afton singing her heart away.

The boys hooping it up.
Logan making his animal sounds. He loved hearing himself in the microphone.
This kid is seriously such a ham. He loves all of the attention.
Afton and Sophia. Sophia did a cute little ballet number for her talent.
Brenden and Dax. Brenden showed us some flexibility moves along with his mom. Amber was actually in charge this year of the talent show and did a wonderful job.

Afton and Kennedy. Kennedy really wanted to do something for the talent show, so last minute she and Afton just got on stage and danced to some High School Musical song. It was so cute! They did such a great job and weren't shy at all.
