For Family Home Evening the other week (7/21), we went and picked some blackberries. There's a family in our ward that has a bunch of blackberry bushes on their property and said that anyone was welcome to pick some. So I thought it would be a fun FHE. Well.....I may have been a little wrong. Those darn bushes have very sharp thorns. I thought we came prepared in long sleeves and gloves, but we still managed to get poked by thorns. I think we picked a total of like 20 berries and then jason said he was done. He was the one picking most of the berries. I wouldn't let the kids get close to those painful bushes. But they did have fun watching the goats. One of their goats head was stuck in the fence so we had to free it and when we did the kids were so happy! That was their favorite part of the whole night.

great FHE idea but maybe we'll try another kind of berry. Thanks for the warning on those guys! cute pictures though!!
