This year I really wanted to plant a garden, so on Saturday we spent the day doing lots of yard work getting ready to plant the garden. There is a planter on our patio that use to have flowers and plants in it, but over the years they've died and been ripped out, so we decided to use this area for the garden. Jason and I spent all day weeding that dang planter. There were so many weeds it was crazy! Now it looks beautiful and garden worthy. Jason's going to bring home some awesome fertilizer to make the soil even better. Let's just hope I can take better care of the food then the flowers. I have all the seeds to get started so I just need to get them planted and pray that they start growing. I went to this awesome seed store with some ladies in my ward. They had all kinds of seeds and I guess they're all really fresh and great to start your garden with. I'm really hoping that everything will go well. I'll just have to wait and see. But I'm very excited to have a garden!

it looks great guys! It will be so fun for you guys to have your own garden, we had a big one at my dad's old office when we were growing up and we grew corn and pumpkins and all kinds of stuff, it was really fun to watch it all grow!
I too get excited to do a garden, but man are they a lot of work.
The yard looks awesome! You'll have to come over and check out our little set up too... and meet the chickens!
