Ballet Class

Afton just started ballet this week. Her first class was on Tuesday and she was so excited. We decided to let her choose an extracurricular activity this year. Her choices were soccer, gymnastics, or ballet. And she chose ballet. Although she went back and forth between ballet and gymnastics. But she finally decided on ballet. And two of her friends are in her class so she was even more excited. I was shooting for soccer or gymnastics because I know nothing about dance or ballet. I guess I don't know much about soccer or gymnastics either, but they seem more athletic to me and I can do athletics, but this dance thing I don't know how i'm going to handle it. As long as she enjoys it that's all that matters. Her dance instructor is actually our neighbor and a member of the church. Jason ran into her tonight at mutual and she said that Afton had a great time in class (they don't let the parents watch the dance classes so I didn't know how she did. I guess it's too distracting). Anyway, she said that Afton was very attentive and did really well with all of the ballet moves. She said that she was so attentive that she was copying her every move. Putting her hair behind her ear, scratching an itch, etc. That's too funny! I wish I could have been there to see it.
