"Silly Sayings"

I've been meaning to post this stuff for a while now, but just kept forgetting. And hopefully it will be an ongoing thing. I just love when my kids say the funniest things. And I'm sure I'm like everyone else and say that I have to write that down and then I don't and forget what they said. I've been trying to be better about it and write it down. So now I'm going to post their "silly sayings" on my blog whenever they say silly things. This is definitely the stuff that I always want to remember. When I was young my mom kept a family journal and recorded the crazy stuff that we kids use to say. I always love reading through it. It's hilarious! I want my kids to do the same.

When Jason first got guitar hero the kids loved to watch him. One of the songs on it is called "Slow Ride" and the kids always request he play that one. After finishing the song, Afton turned to Jason and asked, "Daddy, why do they say Soda?" They thought the song went "Soda take it easy" instead of "Slow ride, take it easy." Actually Dax would say, "Soda, take it even." And he still sings it that way. Funny stuff!

Dax:
He says "binastics" for gymnastics
He drops the "y" on most words. For yours he says "ors". And he's getting better at his "r" and "er" sounds, but still pronounes most of them with an "e" sound. My favorite are Ambie for Amber and watie for water.
He has a friend named Avery and he says "Wavery." I love that one!

Afton:
When Sharon was on crutches back in December, Afton would call them "crunches."
She calls hand sanitizer-- "hanitizer".
She says "Magnik" for magnet.
