A little project

While we were back in Utah in July my mom gave me a table and chairs for the kids. It was something that she decided she didn't want and I told her I'd take it. It was still in it's box so I knew I had some work to do and I finally got to it the other day. I think it sat in my garage for about a month. I'm such a procrastinator. Anyway, I pulled into my garage the other day and saw the box sitting there and decided I'd better take care of it. Usually I'll have Jason do stuff like that, but I wanted to put it together myself. And when I opened the box and saw all of the wonderful pieces I knew it wasn't going to be as easy as I thought it would. But I did it! It took some time, a screwdriver and drill, lots of screws and bolts, and a lot of effort. I was so proud of myself. Well, I put together one chair and the table. I decided to wait for Jason to do the other chair to make sure I did it right. And I'm glad I waited because I put a piece on backwards and Jason fixed it and put together the other chair. And I love the finished product. I think it's really cute. It will go perfectly in Afton's room. And the kids love it too. They've had lots of fun playing on it, even Logan. He'll spend an hour just climbing on and off of the chairs.

The Before....

and the After.
Logan thought it was lots of fun to bang the pieces on the tile. And he loves that tongue. Seriously, it's always hanging out of his mouth like that.

Thanks Grandma Darla. We love it!
